Tracking your cycle

We start by tracking your cycle with “Day 1” of your menstrual period. The menstrual cycle can range from 21-40 days. A customized calendar will be created for you to gather information at the “milestones” of your cycle.

Evaluation cycle

We start the program with one “evaluation cycle” to monitor what typically happens throughout your menstrual cycle. This cycle will be completed if you are actively trying to conceive and are beginning the fertility program. The evaluation cycle is also available for women who would like a pregnancy in the future and would like the most information possible on the current status of their fertility.

Labs

Labs are typically collected on Day 3 and Day 21. They include your hormone levels and a complete blood count. An ovarian assessment report and genetic carrier screening is completed at the start of your evaluation to assess your fertility and screen for common genetic disorders that may affect a future pregnancy.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound technology is used to measure your ovaries, uterine lining, and the changes throughout your cycle. This information can be used to let your provider know if and when you are ovulating, and when it is to best plan intercourse. It also gives information on your lining and if it can support a pregnancy.

Femvue

The Femvue procedure utilizes ultrasound and air bubbles to visualize the patency of your fallopian tubes. This can help diagnose issues that can prevent pregnancy.

Autonomic nervous system test

Your stress level can have impacts on your overall health, and especially your fertility. We monitor your stress level, coping ability and disease risk typically on Day 3 and Day 21.

Lifestyle

Research shows that a healthy lifestyle is the best “natural” intervention for improving your fertility. Following a healthy diet, limiting processed foods and saturated fats, increasing fruits and vegetables, getting thirty minutes of exercise daily and maintaining a healthy weight is the best way to improve your fertility health in your daily life.

Medications

Depending on your evaluation cycle, we will tailor a plan specifically for your needs. We can give medications to induce ovulation in order to improve your chances of conceiving.

Additional interventions

We will give you the most information to give you the best chances of conceiving as naturally as possible. If needed, we work closely with local fertility specialists that we can refer to for semen analysis, intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Who is a candidate?

  • If you are actively planning a pregnancy
  • Unsure about your fertility ability
  • History of long-term unprotected intercourse and no pregnancy
  • Have a medical history of endometriosis, fibroids or PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome)
  • History of pelvic inflammatory disease, or gonorrhea or chlamydia infection
