Nuchal Translucency

The Wright Center for Women’s Health is now one of the Accredited Practitioners who have obtained the certificate of competence in measurement of the nuchal translucency.

A nuchal translucency screening is a specialized routine ultrasound performed between week 11 and week 13 of pregnancy. Fetuses with increased fluid at the base of their necks (the nuchal fold) may have a chromosomal abnormality.

This screening requires a sonogram and maternal blood work performed between 11 and 13 weeks of pregnancy. In addition to the blood work, a measurement of the nuchal fold is taken. These two components give information to detect any chromosomal abnormalities.

So every month our clients, (That would be you) help us to decide which charity we will donate to by choosing an Exceptional Staff Member of the Month. How does that happen? Well, every month whoever a client mentions by name in a survey or review who went above and beyond gets to be the Exceptional Staff Member of the Month and then that staff member chooses which charity the practice will donate to that month. This month one of our fantabulous clients mentioned Darchell!  She chose the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network for her charity. A special thank you to this client for giving us the opportunity to give!

Exceptional Staff Member of the Month!

Darchell Darby is a physicians assistant for The Wright Center for Women's Health in Naperville, IL

Our Exceptional Staff Member of the month is Darchell! We asked the staff, “What is Darchell’s value to the universe?” Here is what the staff said:

  • Darchell’s value is that she is always open & very helpful. She is fun to be around & has a great sense of humor.  I couldn’t ask for a better coworker!
  • She is patient & always there for anyone who needs her.  She really takes the time to get to know her patients and truly wants to help them.  She is also a great person to work with & can always make me laugh!
  • Darchell is awesome in everything she does.  Her patients love her because she is caring & professional.

Now Offering Essure Confirmation Test In Our Office

Dr. Wright has completed the Essure Confirmation Test Training and although we have always offered Essure permanent birth control we are proud to now be able to offer the convenience of having the Essure confirmation test by transvaginal ultrasound right here in our office.
